We are recruiting for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading organisation in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to provide high-level infrastructure support, take ownership of key IT projects, and act as a technical lead for the support team. With a salary of up to £53,000, this role offers great exposure to a range of technologies, including VMware, Microsoft 365, and Azure. The company is a key player in its sector, supporting a wide range of business applications and critical infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd Line support for server and application services, ensuring optimal performance across the IT estate.
• Take the lead on infrastructure improvement projects, including server and network upgrades.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for the support team, guiding troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation, knowledge base articles, and infrastructure documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors and development teams to resolve complex technical issues and minimise downtime.

What Experience is Required:

• Strong experience in VMware, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
• Proven expertise in server infrastructure, networking, and backup technologies (Veeam, Synology).
• Previous experience managing 3rd Line support tickets and liaising with vendors to ensure SLA adherence.

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive salary up to £53,000 per annum.
• 25 days annual leave (including Christmas shutdown).
• Potential for up to £3,000 annual bonus after one year of service.
